enetics is part of an outreach program carried by the University of Utah, and has plenty of animations, images and visual aids that make science easy to understand for everyone. Their “Tour of the basic” set of animations is excellent in illustrating the concepts. For example, did you know that the DNA molecules come in the form of a twisted ladder shape called “double helix”? And that the ladder’s steps are built with the four-letter DNA alphabet: A, C, T and G? Lately they’ve also added a new one where you can use the animation to build a DNA molecule! And don’t miss their illustration about cell sizes and scale. That should keep you busy for a while…
